I have been playing for a long time, but we took a break just before this expansion came out. So by the time we came back everyone was 80.
A lot of new content was added to the game. Its still a great time sink and you still need friends to do a lot of the content.

Although the book has a few typos, it does provide some interesting and useful tips for doing presentations and meetings. Most of the book, however, I thought was just repeating common sense and for anyone who’s had experience in presenting in meetings, there’s not a whole lot of new information. For anyone new to presenting or feel the need to improve on their first impressions, then it’s a good book to read.
I decided to pick up this book because I am very shy when meeting new people. Naturally, I get nervous when speaking in front of groups, even if it’s just three or four other people.
There were some items that I have heard of before…where to put your name tag, order similar items for a business lunch/dinner, don’t order alcohol if your host doesn’t, etc. However, the author presented this information in a humorous manner, making the book easy to read!
There were a lot of tips and ideas that I had never heard of. After only reading the book once, it is hard to remember everything you read, so after reading it again, I feel I will be better equipped to implement some of the strategies. I’ve always had trouble figuring out how to introduce myself to strangers at a networking event, but this book has some basic ideas how to do that…it is common sense, but most of us don’t think logically!
I liked the book, and I will be re-reading it soon.
Disapointed nothing fresh. Buy a good watch. Carry a nice briefcase. Do not eat all the food on your plate. Order what the client orders, anything new?
Very good book and would be a good read for anyone seeking ways to refine how you prepare, present, and be the best of “Your [Brilliant] Self”. I think anyone in business for themselves, as well as any front-line person in for profit or non-profit would benefit from this reading.
What really struck me after reading was it was a self-help book, but the writing approach Frances puts her advise in very practical experiences that any person, at any level will be able to related to.
No matter what you do in life, HOW TO WOW has something for everyone. It is not possible to go through life and try and succeed at whatever you are doing without some form of direction or even thought of the journey you are about to take. Regardless of your job or task, Frances Cole Jones outlines how you can make the most of every day, every experience and reap the rewards for being prepared.
Good mix of songs! Definitely recommended. You probably won’t like all of them but it sure beats spending $0.99 on each individual song with all that stupid copywrite crap that only lets you burn the song to cd three times before the nanny state says no more.
Awesome,This WOW 2008 Blessed my family and friends! It is uplifting and encouraging. It is fun to sing along with and will help you plaise the Lord! God’s word will not come back void!
I love this cd, has great songs on it, I also recommend the WOW 2009, that is a great addition to the 2008 cd.
This product was shipped earlier than expected and in thew condition it was expected. I will definitely order again from Amazon.com!
THESE CDs CONTAIN THE BEST OF 2008′S CHRISTIAN MUSIC. IT HAS THE SOUND OF THE POPULAR MUSIC OF THE DAY, BUT WITH LYRICS THAT INSPIRE, ENCOURAGE, AND ARE NOT OFFENSIVE TO LISTEN TO. I LOVE IT!
I left this game back in 2004 to pursue other MMOs. Well I’m back after 5 years off and am I glad I returned. Not much for me to say that already hasn’t been said.
Deep stories and engaging quests.
Fantastic character development.
I find the graphics to be very appealing.
An old system can run this just fine..My rig can run this at nearly 500 frames-per-second. So old or new, doesn’t matter. It just looks good with major attention to detail.
I’ve been wanting to come back to this game for a long time, and as with you read up on reviews and in forums as to whats going on. And as with you have read over and over about all the childish nonsense that goes on and how the culture just makes for a miserable experience. Allow me to dispell some of that.
I rejoined expecting just a ton of BS and to not play for more than a few days. I also expected it to be dead dead dead. Any one who has played an MMO then quit, then comes back years later knows that lower level zones are barren for the most part which really sugz.
Well, this game is very active. Low level zones have a descent amount of people in them that are level appropriate, and usually a few high level players around to lend a hand.
Now as far as the brain-damaged teenie bopper crowed. Yes they are there BUT!!!! But…it’s easy to squelch their idiotic babble. All you do is right click their name then chose ignore. BAM! You just muted an idiot! I’ve done this for the past couple of weeks and I must say that the bulk of the chatting I read is on subject and appropriate. My ignore list is HUGE. When in a mjor city just watch the chat, you can spot the ‘tards from a mile away. Right click their name/ignore. Those that respond to the nonsense? Right click name/ignore. Works like magic! Even in doing so, I still manage to find plenty of good people to group with and have fun with. There is the occasional a-hole but that is by far not the norm.
Seems it’s never a problem finding a high level to help out on something you have no business doing on your own. Or like a said, groups are fairly easy to come by.
Hats off to Blizzard for keeping this game alive. To me it’s all new again and fun. Also kudos for having regular events and polishing this game every chance they get.
Now is the perfect time to rejoin or sign up for the first time. You’ll have plenty of time to move through the current content and come next November, the entire world is going to be redone. So you’ll see it pre and post “cataclysm”.
One more thing, choose your sever wisely. They have data centers all over the country, choosing one near you might be a good idea. Also choosing one in your time zone is a good idea as a lot of things are planned on server time. Go online and look up where the data centers are and go from there. Blizzard does not share that information and you wont find it in game.
This game is great, good graphics, music and story line history. Over the years I’ve played many Video games from the classic Arcade games of the 80′s to verious games on the playstation systems and ect ect. When I moved on to computer games I was looking for something interesting and fun to play….I thought I found it in Everquest and while it was a good game, I found World of Warcraft to be better. I’ve enjoyed this game more then any other I’ve played..
If you haven’t tried it I recommened it.
So, I have played six or seven MMORPGs in the last 12 or so years, all of them had their own twists and turns, ups and downs, things they shined at etc. World of Warcraft on the other hand has NOTHING in-game that shines other than a huge population, and why? Blizzard is great at marketing and sucking people in. Compare the in-depth playing of a game like Anarchy Online or DAoC to the at best weak grind and quest snooze-fest that is World of Warcraft.
Yes, World of Warcraft has slightly better more cartoony graphics than those games; but when did that start making a game the best?
If you want to play a game that is weak on quality and in-depth gaming, then this is your game!
i love playing this game with my friends but once you start playing you dont have to stop so I wouldnt advise playing this game it’ll mess up your life.
This game is cool and i would tell anybody to get it if they are into rpg and some online gaming
Experience World of Warcraft ban twice now, and been playing since my father, his excellence, took me to that shanty mall on that November day. It was sold out everywhere, why had Toys R’ Us failed a 15 year old on that day? And then that mall, sigh, what a day, the day. The day my life was absorbed into a video game throughout my high school life.
I rate it five stars, so is that bad then that I lost my life? Am I bad to lose my life? No, probably not. Who’re you asking, the puritan or laid-back luke? Considering my private school was 20 miles away supporting the extreme stereotypes of Academics and Sports, well, World of Warcraft was the best escape my life could have then. It provided my own freedom and friends when life failed to share any interest in such fantasy. The students playing Magic the Gathering at my school, deemed the under the stairs kids.
So, before I get back to mid-terms and take my eyes off this new World of Warcraft Battle Chest to open at a time for unlimited escape, I want to reflect on what it means as a college student entering post adolescence.
World of Warcraft is just a way for any individual to enter their own community and immerse into it with their imagination. One can become addicted to anything, so must I mention you HAVE to plan at some point when to play, but who wants to marry and then whine within about ‘oh the college days… ::sigh::’, or ‘my life was the greatest, until I got married. I can’t do them anymore.’ So then, what would you do at that point, let academic papers and peoples pressure push you into something? That peer pressure is what people use at parties to force alcohol down your throat.
There’s two extremes, i’m not a spiritualist sharing the method of balance or the western rationalist measuring two items on the measuring tape; BUT, play in awareness.. Set your goals in game, and be aware of who you are at a stage when nothings putting a bind or unbind on you. People that don’t play the game at all can say it will send you down a ‘pit of fire and people that play too much can lose sight of their goals — lose the point of what they’re doing, then the fun goes in the basket… entering a process or a chain of simplicity in, “I want this, then that, then – oh, it’s 2 AM.”
In a timeline sense, World of Warcraft is just something new hitting mainstream, rap music was bad in the 90′s, and who knows what’s next or you can analyze what society has deemed bad in the past as it still mingles in the mainstream.
If you do buy, ENJOY your journey through the Worlds of Warcraft. Make friends, achieve some things, be yourself.. fulfill yourself. =D
There’s my nit pick of positive psychology.
